All Aboard For Summer 2019 Employee Celebration
Let’s pull up anchor and tip our glasses to Norwest’s employees for their hard work through the first half of 2019.
Norwest has a culture of showing regular appreciation to all our hard-working staff. For the 2019 annual summer gathering, the team received a well-deserved meeting aboard the Willamette Star on a sunny day in Portland. Since October of 2018, all of Norwest’s project teams have been extraordinarily busy due to the execution of two, multi-million-dollar projects with similarly aggressive timelines. Their schedules dictated overtime hours and personal sacrifices by many team members, but people selflessly rose to the challenge. As both large projects finish construction and operations begin, Norwest continues to receive high-marks from those clients on all of our engineering disciplines. We think a celebratory beer on the Willamette River was more than earned by all.
"...Norwest’s project teams have been extraordinarily busy due to the execution of two, multi-million-dollar projects with similarly aggressive timelines. Their schedules dictated overtime hours and personal sacrifices by many team members, but people selflessly rose to the challenge."
The annual summer gathering is an opportunity to bring multiple offices together and hear from Norwest’s board of directors. In addition to creating presentations that inform the whole company on specifics of those major projects, the board presented Norwest’s current financial position and what they anticipate through the end of 2019. They expressed their appreciation for the employees’ hard work, their gratitude for maintaining a high-quality product through busy times, and their belief that Norwest’s reputation of excellence will help yield the next major project.
Thank you to the board for supporting a company culture of appreciation and transparency. And a special thanks to the amazing administrative team who were able to coordinate travel arrangements and event logistics to bring multiple employees together from several states and promote the culture of unity and fulfillment.
