Norwest has achieved a comprehensive portfolio of refinery experience not typically seen in a company our size. Our longest-tenured client is a small refinery based in Tacoma, Washington. Here, Norwest has become the go-to engineering resource with full-time staff seconded to their offices. We routinely manage construction during that facility’s turnarounds and have boots-on-the-ground acting as the owner’s representative. Our intimate experience with this Pacific Northwest refinery gave us an introduction to the intricacies of refinery-based projects.

Over the last 15 years, Norwest has designed improvement and maintenance projects inside, around, and connected to refineries with throughputs up to 200 Kbpd. We understand and appreciate the attention to detail these projects require in order to keep those facilities running at maximum efficiency.

Most of our refinery clients also own and operate logistics assets, though their projects are rarely managed by the same groups. Designing projects that touch both companies can be challenging, as standards and regulations usually affect each asset differently. Norwest’s experience in both camps can be an added value to these projects.
