The one that HAD to get away!

The one that HAD to get away

“A tale all too true..."

We have all heard those far-fetched fish tales told at local watering holes usually about how the biggest one got away. For one of our poor (albeit lucky) members, Ozzy Pahi with Norwest Engineering, his tale is all too true. While at our PAH Fishout this year on June 1, Ozzy had the luck of hooking the first Redfish tagged by the CCA STAR Tournament!

Fish Hook

Sadly, he had only registered for our PAH Fishout Tournament and not the CCA STAR. This “small” oversight lead to much debate on the boat from the other anglers.

Afterall, a decision of this magnitude concerning a prize fish worth a fully loaded truck, trailer, and boat, deserves a little discussion! They tied the prize fish off the side of the boat in the water contemplating their next move. They ultimately decided to do the right thing, and with much regret, they cut the lucky prize redfish loose for the next lucky fisherman...

Ozzy with Fish

Though not before every angler on the team posed for pictures with it! Who could believe they would ever give up such a prize?! As you might’ve guessed, Ozzy has already registered for the 2020 CCA STAR Tournament. We are excited to see Ozzy and Norwest Engineering at future events, including the PAH Fishout in 2020. Hopefully he will hook another prize fish!
