Rail Unloading On A Curve

Washington

PROJECT
OVERVIEW

Norwest designed thirty-two (32) new rail unloading spots across four (4) new rail spurs, each spot capable of unloading ethanol and distillate through separate headers. Additionally, six (6) of the spots were designed to unload up to four (4) LPG cars.

The quantity of spots was maximized with considerations for site footprint and curve in the track, creating:

  • (2) spurs with (7) spots,
  • (1) spur with (8) spots, and
  • (1) spur with (10) spots.

A total of (8) unloading spots were located on the curved track.

The project utilized existing pumps and compressors that were installed from previous Norwest projects.
